Account Director DE - Hamburg

xAd is seen in the US mobile market as the leader in accurate mobile location technology. In the summer of 2013, xAd expanded their mobile product offering globally and in 2015 launched in the DE. Recently recognized by the Mobile Marketing Association as the Global Enabling Technology of the Year, xAd is now looking for an energetic and driven person to be a senior member of the sales team.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and revenue with targeted clients with the media agencies in DE
  • Gain deep understanding of clients business challenges and media strategies
  • Build and execute strategic plans to develop and grow revenue
  • Sales presentations, varying from one-on-one meetings to large groups, both advertisers and agencies
  • Prospecting, research, calling and meeting new and current clients
  • Working with Account Managers to create & revise proposals, managing campaigns from concept to completion, provide full post campaign analysis
  • Application of consumer insight and the creation of client/consumer-centric proposals
  • Providing market intelligence and understanding industry and market trends
  • Negotiating & closing deals
  • Forecasting, budgeting and regular reporting back to managers
  • Manage the day to day response to briefs from agencies with key benefits presentations and pricing proposals
  • Present to clients and prospects the response to briefs and evangelize the benefits of location and the uniqueness of the xAd platform
  • Work with the Account Management team to manage the day to day running of campaigns, communicating regularly to provide up to date information internally & externally;
  • Build solid relationships with the agencies and act as primary point of sale for mobile campaigns;
  • Work to resolve any customer issues and concerns and make recommendations for optimization and future campaigns.
  • Managing and mentoring Account Executive(s)

Requirements:

  • Excellent contacts with media agencies and ideally trading desks
  • Strategic / lateral thinker
  • Experience of interfacing directly with advertisers
  • Strong experience managing key accounts
  • Proven record of overachieving targets
  • Understanding of social selling
  • Experience of one or more of the following:
    • Client direct sales
    • Comms planning within a media agency
    • Mobile advertising ecosystem
    • RTB/programmatic buying
  • Driven and hungry, this is primarily a new business development role, knock down doors - cold calling is a must
  • Integrity, intelligence, and energy
  • Structured, methodical and detailed oriented
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as being a team player
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal) with fantastic PowerPoint and presentation skills and comfortable with public speaking
  • Committed, proactive, and resourceful. Can be counted on to get the job done on time
  • Friendly, personable and can easily develop strong and productive working relationships with clients
  • Fast learner, eager to deepen knowledge and understanding of xAd business operations
  • Extremely hard working with ability to fit in with a fast-paced, constantly changing start-up style environment and culture
  • Travelling up to 3 days a week
